Päivi Aura

Päivi Aura is Auraco’s founder and artistic director. She is a Finnish choreographer, dancer, director and teacher/educator, who has a long and extensive experience in many different fields of dance and related subjects.

After finishing her community dance studies in Theatre Academy in 1998, Päivi has focused her work mainly on children’s dance. She has created performances, projects and other art and culture activities with and for them, often together with other professionals.

Päivi is one of the first Finnish theatre makers for the very young audiences. After many years of freelance work, she founded Dance Theatre Auraco in 2006.
