Dance Statistics of 2018

Dance Info Finland has collected and published statistics of Finnish dance from 2018 (currently available only in Finnish). The number of performances by free dance companies and choreographers increased in 2018. So did ours: the year 2018 was record-breaking for us with altogether 74 performances. We are number one of all the Finnish dance companies in the number of performances abroad with 48 performances.

After the last year’s overloaded workload, we have been taking some time off this spring.

New EU Project Mapping

We are taking part in a new Creative Europe co-funded large scale project Mapping - A Map on the Aesthetics of Performing Arts for Early Years.

The project started in December 2018 and will end in June 2023. 18 theatres and festivals from 17 countries are working together to research artistic means in the theatre for the little ones, accompanied by scientific research. The partners will work in four working groups: Sound, Image, Text and Movement. Auraco is the leader of the Movement group.

Have a nice summer!
