The Why Mix to be seen from Jan 27 to Feb 4

The Why Mix's premiere is this Friday, January the 27th! Have you already got tickets? If not, you can purchase them via Tiketti or at our ticket sale desk at Annantalo one hour prior to the performance.

The Why Mix has been in the making for a long time – even though the premiere is yet to come. The production is a part of the Mapping – a Map on the Aesthetics of Performing Arts for Early Years project of the EU’s Creative Europe programme. Here are some photo memories along the way:

One of the first Mapping workshops was held in Ljubljana in 2019, and The Why Mix was kicked off. Director Päivi Aura and dancers Kati Lehtola and Veera Lamberg took part in the workshop.

During the autumn 2020 we worked on the production with a premiere in mind. However, the corona restrictions postponed the premiere – and got us used to working with masks too. The music is composed and played by Heli Hartikainan and the costumes are designed and made by Piritta Kämi-Conway.

On the summer of 2021 we continued the work but bad luck followed us.

In 2023 Maria Autio joined the team. Now the premiere is getting closer and closer, and we are thrilled! Third time's a charm, right?
