Kati Lehtola

Kati Lehtola is a Finnish dance and mime artist, the other artistic director of Auraco and one of its founders. She did a part of her dance studies at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France, and did her mime studies at Die Etage in Berlin, Germany. Kati performs and teaches both dance and mime, and her work with Auraco has taken her into 25 different countries in Europe and Asia.

In her own work, Kati researches the relationship between dance and mime as well as abstract and concrete storytelling, and how to combine them in a unique way of non-verbal storytelling. She also founded HELMIME Mime Events in Helsinki and is the artistic director of HELMIME. Currently she is also studying theatre research at the University of Helsinki.
