The Why Mix Returns to Annantalo!

Third time’s a charm!

Auraco’s newest dance work The Why Mix makes a return to Annantalo! The Why Mix had a bumpy start with the first two premiere’s getting cancelled, but we believe in the old saying; third time’s a charm!

So what is The Why Mix made of? Mime, dance, music. Mazes, circles, spirals. Emojis of three wise monkeys. That’s what The Why Mix is made of.

Welcome to the world of The Why Mix in January 2023! Premiere is January 27 in Annantalo Arts Centre. Other performances are during Jan 28 – Feb 4. Suggested for over 4 year olds.

Free entry to the Saturday 28 January performance, registration at annantalo.fi starting from 10 January. Registration to the free of charge 31 January and 1 February performances open only for daycare and school groups at annantalo.fi starting from 2 January.

Mapping – a Map on the Aesthetics of Performing Arts for Early Years project of the EU’s Creative Europe programme.

Past Autumn Events

Let's return to other performances we had during the autumn. We performed Whoopsy-Daisy, Where Are You? at the Power of Dance festival in October. We received a lot of praise, the greatest of which was definitely the abundant laughter of children during the performance.

November 18 was the day of our second HELMIME Club. Familiar HELMIME mime artists Kati Lehtola, Tomaš Kasprzyk and Eliška Kasprzyk performed at the club together with our visiting artists, Ukrainian Anetta Anisimova and Slovakian Valéria Daňhová. We saw nine mime études during the evening, with themes varying from hilarious to touching. We also heard live music from Heli Hartikainen.

After the HELMIME Club in Helsinki we headed to Slovakia, where Kati, Eliška and Tomaš led workshops and performed the international premiere of the HELMIME Club at the PAN Festival.
